Help Center

Find quick answers about how My Learning Café works—for students, teachers, and schools. Our platform is designed to save teacher time, give students instant feedback, and keep AI safely aligned with course objectives.

Key idea: We’re not selling “courses + AI.” We’re selling time saved for teachers and better learning outcomes—through instant feedback, adaptive practice, and a controlled AI that stays within course objectives.

Getting Started

If you’re new here, start with these basics. In most cases, you’ll join a course first, then begin practice or assignments right away.

1) Access a Course

  • Log in, then open your course from the dashboard.
  • If your school invited you, use the same email address they registered.
  • If a course is missing, confirm you are enrolled and refreshed your browser.

2) Start Practice or Homework

  • Open the lesson or assignment and begin answering.
  • Submit to receive instant scoring and feedback when enabled.
  • Use hints to learn without guessing blindly.

3) Understand “Controlled AI”

  • AI is guided by teacher prompts and course objectives—not random internet answers.
  • This keeps feedback relevant, safe, and aligned to your syllabus.
  • If something looks off, report it (see Contact below).

Help for Students

Your fastest improvement comes from doing problems, seeing what went wrong, and retrying immediately—without judgment.

Instant Feedback

  • After you submit, you may see a score, rubric notes, and next-step hints.
  • Focus on the feedback, then attempt a corrected version.
  • If a teacher allows multiple attempts, use them—learning happens in the revisions.

Adaptive Practice

  • Practice adapts to your weak areas to help you improve efficiently.
  • If a topic feels too hard, step down a level and build up again.
  • Consistency beats cramming: aim for short daily sessions.

Progress & Confidence

  • Use your progress view to see strengths, weaknesses, and improvement over time.
  • Treat mistakes as data—each mistake is a guide to what to practice next.
  • If you feel stuck, ask for a hint rather than the full answer.

Help for Teachers

My Learning Café is designed to reduce prep and grading load: generate assignments quickly, auto-grade with rubrics, and reuse content next year.

Teacher Assistant: Create Faster

  • Generate quizzes, homework, and tests aligned to your objectives.
  • Include rubrics, model answers, and hints.
  • Create variations for differentiation or retakes.

Auto-Grading & Rubric Feedback

  • Use rubric-based scoring for consistency and transparency.
  • Instant feedback reduces student waiting time and increases practice volume.
  • You can review and override grades when needed.

Reuse & Improve Year After Year

  • Save assignments, rubrics, and lesson plans to a digital library.
  • Next cohort: reuse with small edits or auto-adapt for level.
  • This turns one-time prep into a compounding asset.

Help for Schools & Admins

Schools adopt My Learning Café to reduce staffing pressure, improve visibility into learning, and keep materials digital and reusable.

Pilot Program (Recommended)

  • Typical pilot: 3–6 months, 1–2 subjects, 2–3 classes.
  • Measure teacher time saved, student practice volume, and progress improvements.
  • Use pilot results to scale to departments or whole-school licensing.

Analytics & Visibility

  • See where students struggle and how they improve over time.
  • Identify intervention needs early (before exams).
  • Support data-driven teaching without extra reporting burden.

Digital, Paperless Workflow

  • Reduce printing and paper-based tracking.
  • Store rubrics, keys, and assignments for re-use.
  • Maintain consistent standards across classrooms and terms.

Troubleshooting

Most issues are solved by refreshing your session, checking enrollment, or switching browsers. Here are common fixes.

Login & Access

  • Try logging out and back in.
  • Hard refresh: Ctrl + Shift + R (Windows/Linux) or Cmd + Shift + R (Mac).
  • Confirm you’re using the correct email (the one enrolled in the course).

Assignments Won’t Load / Submit

  • Check your internet connection and retry.
  • Try a different browser (Chrome/Firefox) or disable ad blockers for this site.
  • If an upload fails, try a smaller file or a different format (PDF/JPG/PNG).

Feedback Looks Wrong

  • Re-check the question requirements and units/format (common in math/physics).
  • If your teacher provided a rubric, align your answer to those points.
  • If it still seems incorrect, report the item with the question title and screenshot.

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions from students, teachers, and schools.

What does “Controlled AI” mean?

Controlled AI means the system is guided by course objectives and teacher prompts. It’s designed to stay within the scope of the curriculum and classroom expectations—rather than behaving like an open-ended chatbot.

Can students get instant feedback on homework?

Yes—when enabled by the teacher/course. Students can receive immediate scoring, rubric feedback, and hints so they can correct mistakes right away instead of waiting days.

How does adaptive practice work?

Adaptive practice uses your performance to adjust difficulty and target weak areas. The goal is more learning per minute: practice what you need most, not what you already know.

What can teachers generate with the Teacher Assistant?

Teachers can generate classwork, homework, quizzes, and tests—often with:

  • Rubrics and scoring guidance
  • Model answers and solution outlines
  • Hints and question variations for different levels
Can teachers reuse assignments next year?

Yes. A key benefit is a reusable digital library: assignments, rubrics, answer keys, and lesson plans can be reused or quickly adapted for the next cohort.

How do schools start—do you offer a pilot?

Yes. A typical pilot is 3–6 months with a limited number of classes/subjects. The goal is to measure teacher time saved, student practice volume, and learning outcomes—then scale based on results.

Is there an AI usage limit (quota)?

Many plans use AI quotas to keep usage predictable and costs controlled. If your school needs higher usage (more question generation or feedback cycles), that can be added as an upgrade.

What should I include when contacting support?

To resolve issues faster, include:

  • Your username/email (and school name if applicable)
  • Course name + assignment/problem title
  • A screenshot (if possible)
  • What you expected vs what happened
